Two in net for fraud

Bhubaneswar, May 2: Saheed Nagar police last night arrested the owner and the director of a software company for swindling around 65 youths by not paying salaries to them after providing appointments.

The police identified the owner as D. Keshaband Patra of Berhampur and the director as Swagat Sampad Das of Balasore.

The employees, who had been provided appointments with the software company Applied Binary Private Limited with the promise of Rs 8,000 per month, were not given their due after being paid for a few days.

The police said that after investigation they found that it was a fraud in which the employees were victims.

“Following their complaints we arrested both the owner and director and produced them in the court,” said assistant commissioner of police Bishnu Mishra.
