Bhubaneswar, April 21: Two music albums were released in the city last week.

On Wednesday, the music album Abujha-A-Mana was unveiled. Eminent composer Laxmikant Palit has scored the music. His sons Randeep and Bandish have rendered the playback along with female singer Niki.

The album has eight soulful songs such as Madhupa sure, Bhuliba naare, Kanta thile bhaari bhala lage, and Suraja ta naali among others.

The album has both solo and duet numbers. The lyrics have been penned by Sibabrata Das, Narayana Prasad Singh, Brundaban Jena, Antaryami Mishra, Mohit Chakrabarty and Arun Mantri.

“This is our gift to listeners. Both the music and lyrics are quite soul stirring,” said LaxmikantPalit.

Upcoming film Gadbad had its music release on Friday. Although the lead actor, Siddhant Mohapatra, was missing, rest of the cast and crew were present to promote the film. Prem Anand has composed for the film while Arun Mantri, Basant Raj Samal and Devdas Chhotray have penned the lyrics. The album has six songs crooned by singers such as Shakti Mishra, Tapu Mishra and Maadhav Dash.

The film stars Partha Sarathi Ray, Jina, Minaketan and debutante Bengali actress Ragini and is likely to release in the first week of May.
