Bhubaneswar: In a major rejig among senior IAS officers, the state government on Tuesday transferred six district collectors.

The government also cancelled the earlier appointment of Shalini Pandit as state project director, Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority (Opepa), state project director, Rashtriya Madhayamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and director of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan. She will continue to serve as the managing director of the National Health Mission (NHM).

Dhenkanal collector Bhupendra S. Poonia has been appointed the state project director, Opepa, Bhubaneswar replacing Pandit. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of state project director, RMSA and director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan, Bhubaneswar.

Keonjhar collector N. Thirumala Naik and Balangir collector Ashish Thakare have swapped their seats with each other.

Malkangiri collector K. Sudarshan Chakravarthy has been appointed Koraput collector, replacing Anupam Saha, who has been transferred to Gajapati.

Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation Nikhil Pavan Kalyan has been posted as Dhenkanal collector. Manish Agrawal, at present working in the general administration department has been appointed Malkangiri collector.

Ramesh Chandra Rout, at present secretary in the Bhubaneswar Development Authority has been posted as Balasore collector. He replaced Pramod Kumar Das, who has been appointed as special secretary, planning and convergence department.

Ajit Kumar Mishra, at present additional secretary, health and family welfare, has been posted as collector of Nabarangpur, whereas Nabarangpur collector Rasmita Panda has been appointed chief executive officer, Rourkela Smart City Limited.

Special secretary of public enterprises Akshaya Kumar Parida has been transferred to forest and environment department.

Additional secretary of forest and environment Pravat Kumar Lenka has been transferred to public enterprises department.

Managing director of Odisha State Medical Corporation Archana Patnaik has been allowed to remain in additional charge of the CMGI as executive director.

Gajapati collector Sudhansu Mohan Samal has been appointed director, horticulture.
