The fans are also realising their dreams, as they queue up to see their favourite cine stars in flesh and blood. “I had read about Amlan. My friends and I were hanging out here when we saw a tall and well-built actor delivering the dialogues. It was fun to get a chance to watch a live shooting. We will have to wait a while to see if Amlan can bring any welcome change in the Odia film industry,” said Anamika Jena, who was spending her Tuesday afternoon strolling at Ekamra Haat.
While many preferred shooting in various locations of the city, others went looking for more apt sites outside the state. The cast and crew of Odia film Chauka Chhaka recently flew to Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, to shoot some of their scenes in its picturesque locations.
The film shot not only the song sequences in the dream environs of the film city, but also the dramatic scenes there.
Sambit Acharya with debutant Nutan Mohanty and the hilarious Pappu Pom Pom are in the star cast. The film promises to have an emotionally engaging story revolving around two socially deprived youngsters, who are involved in criminal activities.
Prakash Parida, production designer of Chauka Chhaka said: “We did a major part of our shoot in Odisha. Ramoji Film City offered us a wide range of options in terms of locations and production design and thus we decided to shoot some of the scenes here.”
