Bhubaneswar, July 25: The second cut-off list for admissions in degree colleges was published today.
While students selected in the first cut-off list have already taken admissions between July 15 and 20, those selected in the second list are required to take admissions in their allotted colleges from July 27 to 29.
"Admissions to the remaining seats will be done on August 6 and classes will start on the same day," said an education department official.
Altogether 785 degree colleges with nearly three lakh seats took part in the e-admission process.
For physical science, the Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (Autonomous) College has the highest cut-off of 90.60 per cent followed by the College of Basic Science and Humanities with 88 per cent.
Other city colleges such as the Rajdhani College, Maharishi College of Natural Law and the Biju Patnaik College have cut-offs of 83.17, 79.17 and 74.33 per cent, respectively.
In biological science, the BJB (Autonomous) College has a cut off of 90.40 per cent.
Other major colleges in the city such as the College of Basic Science and Humanities, Rajdhani College and the Kamala Nehru Women's College have 88, 80 and 78 per cent cut-offs, respectively.
In commerce, the BJB (Autonomous) College recorded the highest cut-off with 84.60 per cent, while the Rajadhani College and the Maharishi College of Natural Law recorded 76.33 and 73.17 per cent, respectively.
Private commerce colleges such as the DAV School of Business Management and the Sai International College also recorded 68 and 65 per cent cut-offs, respectively.
However, the Rama Devi Women's University, Ravenshaw University and the Gangadhar Meher University are conducting their own admissions and not part of this process.
