SCB doctor gets bail

Orissa High Court on Friday granted conditional bail to SCB Medical College and Hospital's clinical hematology department's professor and head Rabindra Kumar Jena, who was arrested by the state vigilance in December last year for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Cuttack: Orissa High Court on Friday granted conditional bail to SCB Medical College and Hospital's clinical hematology department's professor and head Rabindra Kumar Jena, who was arrested by the state vigilance in December last year for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The court has granted him bail on conditions that Jena will furnish Rs 50,000 and two sureties. The court also directed Jena not to leave Odisha without prior court permission. Besides, Jena has been asked to appear before the investigating officer along with the guarantors on the dates required.
