Bhubaneswar, Dec. 23: Director Sushant Pandey is trying his hands at a multilingual flick after several stints with Marathi cinema.
Based on a real life incident, the film titled Chitagni will be made in Odia, Bengali and Marathi.
'It is generally seen that following an untoward incident, our existence comes to a halt. But, it is very important that we come out of it and start leading normal lives. The film is based about one such incident that happens in a person's life,' said Pandey.
While popular actor Aditya Om will play the lead role, Cuttack-girl Dikshya Kar will make her debut with this film and will be seen romancing the actor.
'As this is my first film, there are a lot of challenges ahead. I am very excited about it. I have to portray different layers of emotions and I will try to put my best efforts,' said Dikshya.
The film also stars Priyanka, Minaketan and Manoj Mishra in other prominent roles.
Bengali film industry superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee will also be seen playing a major character in the film.
The film will be also be shot at a number of scenic places across the state, including Himachal Pradesh and Bangalore.
'I have selected a number of unique locations across the state where I will shoot the film. I will try to experience with the camerawork along with trying new angles during the shoot,' said the director.
Produced by Fifth G creations, the film is a complete entertainment package with action and romance in equal measures.
'We have targeted film lovers in Odisha, Bengal and Maharashtra. The film will go on floors in the second week of January next year. I hope to complete the shooting in two-three months. We have decided to release the film in the first week of April,' said the director.
