Cuttack, May 2: Ravenshaw University has started this year's admission process for its undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The university has made available the online application form for admission into various courses.

The last date of submission of the online application forms for postgraduate courses is May 15. The varsity aims to complete the process by mid-August.

At the undergraduate level, candidates will be given 15 days from the publication of results of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, to submit their application forms.

Public relations officer of the varsity Gyana Ranjan Swain said: "There will be no centralised admission this year at either the postgraduate or undergraduate level. The entire admission process has been decentralised and each department is empowered to have its own admission process."

"Each department has its own admission committee and there is a helpline number for each department to guide the applicants," Swain said.

Selection into various honours subjects will be on the basis of career marking only. The marks obtained in Class-X and Class XII will be taken together. "But for the admission into postgraduate courses, entrance examinations will be held. The entrance examination for the postgraduate courses will be held from May 20 to 27," Swain said.

"Students are expected to only apply online for admission. All admissions fees will be submitted through online banking process," Swain added.

The university has fixed August 12 as the last date for completion of the admission process.

A candidate can apply for three honours subjects either in arts or science. Candidates who wish to apply in more than one undergraduate course are required to indicate their preference in the online application form in the list of subjects offered.
