Project charts new road map

New Delhi, Jan. 10: The Union cabinet committee on economic affairs today approved the implementation of the four/two laning of Baharagora-Sambalpur section of NH-6 in Odisha and Jharkhand under National Highway Development project Phase IV on design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis.

The length of the road will be 368.20 km. Cost of the project will be Rs 3,636.43 crore.

The main objective of the project is to expedite the improvement of infrastructure in Odisha and Jharkhand and reduce time and cost of travel.

The project will cover the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Deogarh and Sambalpur in Odisha.
