Bhubaneswar: A five-member delegation of the school and mass education department have been nominated by the state government to undertake “necessary training” in London, Nottingham and Edinburgh in Scotland under a project called “Exchange of Best Practices Leading to Innovations” of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan. The delegation includes two college teachers. Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar-New Delhi (22823) Rajdhani Express, scheduled to leave Bhubaneswar at 9.15am on Friday, has been re-scheduled. It will now leave Bhubaneswar at 2pm. The departure time has been changed because of the late arrival of the connecting train, said East Coast Railway release. Bhubaneswar: Jindal Steel and Power Limited, which is setting up a six-million-tonne per annum (MTPA) greenfield steel plant in Angul district, plans to commission two MTPA of the project within the next three months. Jindal chairman and managing director Naveen Jindal conveyed this message after a meeting at the state secretariat. Bhubaneswar: The second India Surf Festival will begin in the Kushabhadra River at Ramchandi, near Chandrabhaga marine drive, Konark, from Friday. The three-day event is being organised by Rangers Adventures Foundation, in collaboration with state tourism department. It will witness the participation of more than 80 surfers from across the world. Bhubaneswar: Debasish Dutta of Jharsuguda district has won the Mr Odisha Open Classic Bodybuilding Championship. The 25-year-old beat 25 other contestants from different parts of the state. He also won the 15th Jharsuguda bodybuilding championship. Jharsuguda Amateur Bodybuilding Association hosted the meet. Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik visited Nabarangpur and inaugurated several projects including a bridge on river Tura near Debraguda on Thursday.
