Bhubaneswar: A young liquor shop salesman was shot dead by an unidentified goon at Aiginia. The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Kumar Sahu alias Raka, 25, a native of Jagatsinghpur. Two persons parked their car in front of the liquor shop located near the Aigania over-bridge around 10.45pm on Wednesday and shot at him. Bhubaneswar: N. Bhaskar Rao was appointed as the deputy chairman of the State Planning Board. He will be given the status of a cabinet minister. Rao has resigned from the chairman of Odisha Small Industries Corporation. He will succeed Surendra Nath Naik. Koraput: Security forces on Thursday arrested two Maoists from Podapadar village in Koraput. The Maoists have been identified as Palu Wadeka and Rami Wadeka.
