Bhubaneswar: The state crime branch has sought the permission of the state government for attachment of properties of Saradha Group, a Bengal-based sham deposit collection company. Though it operated mainly in Bengal, Assam and Tripura, it also duped thousands of investors in Balasore and Puri.

Suicide bid

Bhubaneswar: Upset over the failing health of her six-month-old child, a 32-year-old woman attempted to end her life on Monday by jumping off the third floor of the district headquarters hospital. Jyoti Mallick was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition.

Three killed

Berhampur: Three villagers were killed and 15 injured on Monday evening when a tractor turned turle on Tulu Road, about 15km from here, police said.
