Chargesheet Medical relief Killed Arrest

Bhubaneswar: The city police are likely to submit the chargesheet in Ushashree murder case on Thursday. Her husband retired army doctor Somnath Parida was arrested on June 21 by the police for allegedly killing her and chopping her body in to hundreds of pieces. Somnath is currently lodged at Jharpada special jail here.

Medical relief

Bhubaneswar: A medical relief team was sent by Rourkela Steel Plant to the Phailin affected areas of the state. The team was flagged off by the chief executive officer G.S.Prasad at Ispat General Hospital.

Killed

Bhubaneswar: A woman was hacked to death by a youth on Tuesday in Kardakuda village of Sundergarh district. The youth, identified as Nayak Munda, killed Masuri Munda with an axe. Police said that Nayak was under the impression that he was under the spell of witchcraft by the woman.

Arrest

Bhubaneswar: Kharavela Nagar police on Wednesday arrested about 14 gamblers active in their jurisdiction. The police have also seized cash worth Rs 30,000 from them. The police swung into action after getting complaints of gambling.
