Bhubaneswar: Nabarangpur MP Pradeep Majhi lodged a complaint on Friday at the local police station in Nabarangpur against K. Sibram Raju, a contractor, for threatening to kill him. Majhi said for the past one year he was under a mental trauma as Raju was blackmailing and threatening to kill him.

Strike

Cuttack: Litigants suffered for the second day on Friday with around 47,000 lawyers skipping work as part of their two-day strike demanding a matching grant from the state government to wards the Advocates’ Welfare Fund.

Medicine fair

Bhubaneswar: A four-day health fair to display and promote traditional medicines, was inaugurated on Friday by Naveen Patnaik on the Exhibition Ground here. Kiosks have been set up by various agencies dealing with ayurveda, yoga and naturopathy, unani, sidhha and homeopathy.
