Bhubaneswar: The state government has decided to increase 20 per cent seats in Plus Two and Plus Three colleges coming under municipalities and municipal corporations. Chief minister Naveen Patnaik took this decision on Wednesday. Earlier, seats in colleges under NACs and blocks were increased by 20 per cent. Colleges that have more than 256 seats will have 10 per cent more seats while those having less than 256 seats will get 20 per cent more seats. Bhubaneswar: Officials of the water resources departments of Odisha and Chhattisgarh would meet on August 22 to discuss the regulation of Mahanadi water. It may be mentioned that 90 per cent of the catchment areas of Mahanadi lies in Chhattisgarh.The meeting will have discussion about the monitoring of floodwater before the onset of monsoon. Bhubaneswar: The state government on Wednesday affected a minor reshuffle at the IAS level. Additional secretary, finance, Pradeep Biswal has been appointed as joint secretary, planning and coordination while Upendra Nath Mallick has been appointed as member, board of revenue. Deputy secretary, cooperation, Gopabandhu Satapathy has been appointed as joint secretary cooperation.
