Body found 

Sambalpur: The mutilated body of an unidentified man around 35-year-old was recovered from the railway track near Sambalpur Road railway station. 

It is believed that he was run over by a train on the intervening night of Wednesday and 
Thursday. 

However it could not be ascertained whether the man committed suicide or it was a case of an 
accident.  

Surrender

Bhubaneswar:  A man on Thursday surrendered before police after killing a para-teacher in Nabarangpur district. Prasant Panda of Chhatabeda village attacked Biswajit Mistry, a teacher, with a bamboo stick when the latter was going to Chhatabeda on his bike. 

After Biswajit fell down, Panda, who was Biswajit’s childhood friend, poured kerosene on him and set him afire.   

NAC poll 

Bhubaneswar: A 20-member delegation of the BJP on Thursday met the state election commission and submitted a memorandum, protesting against the cancellation of polls to the Ranpur NAC in Nayagarh.

Bhubaneswar: Nalco has achieved the highest-ever gross turnover of Rs 7,774 crore against Rs 7,024 crore achieved last year.
