Bhubaneswar, Nov. 10: After the success of Tora Mora Jodi Sundara, the gorgeous pair of Oriya tinsel town is back again to woo the audience with their latest film Kebe Tame Naahan Kebe Mun Naahin. The hit jodi were seen having a good time at the music launch of their upcoming film held at a city hotel on Tuesday.
The film, directed by Chakradhar Sahu of Nila Mastrani and Tumaku Paruni Ta Bhuli fame, promises to bring a “fresh feel” and tell a never-heard-before story.
This romantic thriller is about a singer, Swagat (played by Sabyasachi), who falls in love with Rekha (Archita). Now, to bring a twist in the tale, Rekha is also Milee. Rest is a mystery, which none of the film unit members agreed to divulge.
“As the story revolves around a singer, it is evident that music holds a very important place in the film. I wanted to give a western touch to the music of the film and feel proud to say that the music has come out really well. There is a song for every mood and emotion in the film,” said director Chakradhar Sahu.
The star of the evening was music director Bikash Das, who even hummed a few lines to give the audience a toast of the music of Kebe Tame Naahan Kebe Mun Naahin. He has composed six songs — three romantic, one sad song, one item number and one that introduces the hero.
“For the first time in Oriya film music, we have used a complete western touch. Singers such as Shaan, Udit Narayan, Mahalaxmi Iyer and Shail Hada have sung the songs, giving an extra edge to the music of the film,” said Das.
The lyrics of the songs have been penned by some of the most prominent names of Oriya music industry such as Arun Mantry, Mohit Chakraborty, Nirmal Nayak, Jatindra Pradhan and Sujit Parija.
The film has been shot in the beautiful locales of Orissa, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. The film unit also gave a special thanks to noted choreographer Swarna Babu, who made the visuals of the songs look beautiful.
“The music of the film has all the ingredients to make the listeners fall in love with the songs all over again. My favourite song from the film is the sad version of Kebe Tame Naahan Kebe Mun Naahin, the title song,” said Sabyasachi.
Lead actress of the film, Archita, won the hearts of the audience with her beautiful rendition of the title track Kebe tame naahan kebe mu naahin and a peppy number Mu Chulbuli Chulbuli Prajapoti. Also starring in this upcoming film are well-known artistes such as Manoj Mishra, Ajit Das and Bina Moharana.
The film, produced under Silver Screen Productions, is likely to release in the third week of this month.
