Jajpur Road police on Monday filed a case over alleged posting of obscene photos of a working woman on social media by some unidentified persons.

Jajpur: Jajpur Road police on Monday filed a case over alleged posting of obscene photos of a working woman on social media by some unidentified persons.

The case was registered after the 21-year-old woman lodged a complaint with the local police that her morphed nude photos were posted on the social media by unknown persons. The woman alleged that unidentified individuals have morphed her face on naked pictures and and uploaded them on social networking sites, such as Facebook and WhatsApp. She also alleged that her employer was forcing her to quit the job over the issue.Police have registered a case and started probe.

"We have taken the complaint under various sections of the Information Technology Act. We are investigating the case and hope to be able to arrest the accused very soon," said Amitav Mohapatra, inspector in charge of Jajpur Road police station.
