Berhampur, May 17: Police have arrested a 50-year-old man for allegedly raping his 19-year-old married daughter and getting her pregnant.

"We arrested the father after the victim lodged a complaint. We sent both the father and the pregnant daughter to MKCG hospital for a medical examination today," inspector in-charge of Buguda police station Ranjan Kumar Dey said.

The accused, a daily labourer, lives in Badachadheiyapalli village with his wife. They have five children and the elder daughter is married and stays at Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh with her husband, who is a tractor driver.

Last February, their second daughter was married to the nephew of the their eldest son-in-law, who also lives in Jhansi. The accused forced his second daughter to have sex with him. When his wife and son-in-law protested they were beaten up. Both the mother and daughter want stern action against the accused.
