College row

Students of Ravenshaw Junior College have started a movement to oppose the decision of shifting the college from its present campus at Ravenshaw University. They alleged that they would face problems if the junior college was transferred or relocated to any other place outside the existing campus. All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) has also supported the demand of the students. Members of AIDSO submitted a memorandum to the higher education minister through the college principal opposing the proposed shifting and seeking expansion of the junior college on the space available in front of east hostel’s dining hall. They demanded that the academic block for the junior college should be constructed here and there was no need for the college to shift to a different location.
