Berhampur, April 10: Police today seized two skeletons from a ditch near the Aska sugar factory, around 40km from here.

One of the skeletons was of a CRPF jawan.

Ganjam superintendent of police Narasingh Bhola said: "We have identified both of them. They are A.K. Siba Shankar Dora, 32, and his nephew P. Digambar Dora, 28. Siba Shankar was a CRPF jawan posted at Bhanjanagar camp. Both of them had been missing since March 20."

Both the deceased belong to Mohanapalli village in the Kabisurya Nagar police station limits, about 15km from the Aska sugar factory.

Siba Shankar had been on leave for one month to visit his ailing father residing at Mohanapalli village.

Siba Shankar's brother K. Prakash Dora has lodged an FIR at the Aska police station.

Prakash said both Siba Shankar and Digambar had gone to Purushottampur to see their sister, who lives in a rented room there. Siba Shankar and Digambar had left the rented house on the night of March 20 and had been missing since then.

Bhola said somebody must have killed both of them and dumped their bodies in the ditch near the Aska sugar factory for some reason. "The police are investigating the motive," he said.

The spot, from where two skeletons have been seized, is being used to dump the wastewater of the factory. The ditch is filled with mud. As the sugar factory has been closed since the last 15 days and the wastewater dried up, these two skeletons became visible.
