Bhubaneswar, March 13: Students who have registered for the Joint Entrance Examination (mains), 2014, can download their admit cards from the official website from today. As many as 49,834 students from the state will take the JEE (mains).
“All the candidates who submitted their application forms successfully on the JEE main’s website can download their admit cards from the official portal — www.jeemain.nic.in — from March 10 onwards by entering the application number and password,” said CBSE regional director, Bhubaneswar, A.S. Verma.
The entrance will be held in both online and offline modes. While the offline exam of JEE (mains) is scheduled to be held on April 6, the online test would be held between April 9 and April 19.
The off line exams will be held at various exam centres in Bhubaneswar, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Balasore, Berhampur, Cuttack, Jeypore, Kalahandi, and Bhawanipatna.
“Students have been designated exam centres according to their choice while registering online,” said Verma adding that candidates must verify their signature, photo and other details on the admit card, and email jeemain@nic.in in case of any error. Odisha, along with Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Nagaland, joined the JEE (mains) system this year.
JEE has been divided into two parts — JEE (mains) and JEE (advanced). Aspirants for IIT will have to appear for the JEE (mains) and then the JEE (advanced). Candidates are required to clear the first exam and maintain a rank within 1,50,000 before they are allowed to take the JEE (advanced). The JEE (mains) will be held on April 6.
