Sambalpur: A 50-year-old woman from Manipur has lodged a complaint at the Mahila police station against Colonel A.N. Singh, posted at the NCC headquarters on Thursday. She said the colonel molested her.
Leprosy
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Leprosy Welfare Federation threatened to agitate in front of the Raj Bhavan on January 30 to protest against the poor treatment meted out to more than 10,000 leprosy patients in the state.
Kundu grilled
Bhubaneswar: The CBI on Thursday interrogated Rose Valley Group chairman Gautam Kundu, who is in their custody on a nine-day remand, at their headquarters here. CBI DIG S. Bagchi questioned Kundu in the multi-crore money laundering scam.
Salary hiked
Bhubaneswar: The health and family welfare department on Thursday decided to hike the consolidated salaries of senior resident doctors and tutors from the current Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000, announced health minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak. The residents and tutors of all three medical colleges and hospitals, including Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre and the dental college of SCB Medical College and Hospital, will benefit from the move. The hike will be implemented from February.
