DEFENCE KIOSKS DRAW CROWD: A missile displayed at the Balasore Mahotsav.Taking selfie with the defence guns, armaments, tanks and missiles was a common sight at the event.Defence establishments such as the Proof and Experimental Establishment and the Integrated Test Range showcased the country's advancement in the field of its firepower might. The two major defence research development organisations have put up models of missiles, tanks and guns to highlight the country's firepower and military might. Models of Prithvi, Akash, Nag and Agni are exhibited, besides tanks and artillery guns, at the expo.ITR director B.K. Das said: " These kinds of exhibition not only provide a platform to exhibit our might, but also attract the youth towards the defence sector - especially at a time when we are looking for the youths interested in work and research in defence establishments."Industry associations and the district administration have jointly organised the expo, which began on Wednesday housing around 500 kiosks.
