Jajpur: A woman employee has alleged that a youth has morphed her photo into nude pictures and uploaded them on social networking site. She alleged that the accused, Pradeep Kumar Biswal of Kahneipur in Vyas Nagar town, had threatened her with posting the morphed pictures on the social media if she did not have physical intimacy with him.

The accused is on the run.

In her complaint with Korei police, the victim, who works in women and child development department, stated that her morphed nude photos were doing rounds on various social media sites.

The matter came to her notice after she received her own morphed pictures on WhatsApp from Biswal. Later, Biswal allegedly spoke to her over telephone and tried to coerce her into developing physical intimacy with him. When she refused, he allegedly posted the morphed pictures on social media.

The woman said that Biswal took her Facebook profile picture and photoshopped that with other obscene photos.

"We received the complaint from the woman on Wednesday evening. We have registered a case and have started investigation," said inspector-in-charge of Korei police station Chinmayee Sahu.

The police have registered a case under various sections of the Information Technology Act against the accused. "Biswal has fled from his village since the complaint against him was filed. We hope to be able to arrest him soon," she said.
