Bhubaneswar, Sept. 18: The Mahanadi Wildlife Division will host a camp at the Satkosia Tiger Reserve from October 1 to build it up as an attraction for tourists.
The majestic gorge of Satkosia renders a wonderful point of interest for travellers amid the milieu of nature and the camp, which will be hosted at the Satkosia Sands Resort, will provide A group of 40 participants, including members of the Eco-Development Committee in Satkosia Sands Resort, Badmul, along with the forest range officer and forest guards of the wildlife division received training in 'Basic Life Support' such as Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by a team of life-support instructors.
The training aimed to prepare the team on how to react to life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest, drowning, choking, head injury, wounds, bleeding, fracture, muscular and joint injury, heart attack, snake and scorpion bites and heat stroke, until more advanced medical care arrived. The group also learnt how to use an automated external defibrillator when needed.
'Registrations are open and we are expecting a huge turnout,' added Das.
