Goon killed

Balasore: A 35-year-old history-sheeter,  Susanta Das alias Khasua, has been killed by unknown criminals near Sovarampur on Wednesday evening . Tension gripped the town following the incident.

Encyclopaedia

Bhubaneswar: A set of Jnan Mandal, the Odia encyclopaedia was presented to chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday. The effort to compile the encyclopaedia was initiated by freedom fighter B. Kanungo.

Murder case

Bhubaneswar: Cops cracked the brutal murder of a 70-year-old woman, whose body was recovered from her residence at Bhagatpur on June 12. Police commissioner Y.B. Khurania claimed that it was a pre-planned murder for gain and four persons have been arrested.

Gandhi bust

Kendrapara: The bust of Mahatma Gandhi near Duhuria was vandalised. Angry over the act of vandalism, residents staged a dharna demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits.
