Early diktat

Bhubaneswar: In view of the 12-hour bandh called by the BJP on Wednesday in the state capital, all state secretariat officials have been instructed to reach their workplace by 9.30am. The gates of the secretariat would be closed at 10.15am.   

Affidavit

Puri: Mukti Mandap Pandita Sabha sent their affidavit regarding suggestions for reforms in the management of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Tuesday. The affidavit was submitted by Mukti Mandap vice-president Jatadhari Mishra to the Justice B.P. Das Commission, set up to suggest reforms in the SJTA.

Driver dead

Kendrapara: A driver was killed by three persons at Gandakhia village in Kendrapara district on Tuesday. According to sources the three arrived on a bike and opened fired at the driver, killing him on the spot.

Eggs pelted

Bhubaneswar: BJP workers on Tuesday pelted eggs at the vehicle of rural development minister Badri Narayan Patra while he was on a tour to Jagatsinghpur. Patra's vehicle was pelted with eggs, while he was on his way to inaugurate a new building of Balikuda government hospital.
