Constable injured
Cuttack: A police constable was injured in an alleged accidental firing on the Allahabad Bank premises at Madhupatna. The police said the incident took place when the rifle of Kailash Mohapatra, the bank security guard, got accidentally triggered while loading bullets. The bullet hit constable Subhas Swain, who was getting ready to transport the cash from the bank. Swain suffered the bullet injury on his left leg, and his condition is stated to be stable.

Balasore: Industrial police have arrested three persons on charges of looting gold ornaments from one Tilottama Jena. Kailash Samal, 36, Manoranjan Senapat, 35, and Sridhar Sahu, 40, were produced in court.
