Half-day strike

Cuttack: The 12-hour strike called here on Saturday by Hindu Sena evoked partial response. The agitators protested against irregularities in the conduct of the Bramha paribartan. Though markets at several areas remained closed, buses and autorickshaws operated normally. Over 30 agitators had been taken into preventive custody and the shutdown was peaceful, said a senior cop.
