Jaundice outbreak 

Sambalpur: Health minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and urban development minister, Pushpendra Singh Deo visited the city to take stock of the jaundice outbreak. According to a survey conducted by the health department, the disease has infected 818 residents  and 10 persons have died due of it here this year. 

Surrender  

Rourkela: Two armed Maoist cadres surrendered themselves to the police on Friday night at Mahulpada in Sundargarh. The incident took place following a combing operation, conducted by a joint team of central reserve police force and the state police, led by assistant commandant Sunil Yadhav. The operation was intensified, as the Maoist militants shot the former sarpanch of Mahulpada.
