Bhubaneswar, June 17: An assistant sub-inspector of Nayapalli police station, N.C. Swain, was today suspended in connection with the death of a 14-year-old boy.

Inspector in-charge Suryamani Pradhan has also been told to show cause.

Ishak Digal, suffered injuries from an accident and died at SCB on June 9. Mangalabag police cremated his body as no one claimed it within 72 hours. But, his family members had lodged a missing complaint with Nayapalli police on June 8. Still, they said the police failed to identify him. Deputy commissioner of police Satyabrata Bhoi said they were probing the issue.
