Jorhat, April 7: Trivenee Club outclassed Zangam Club, Sivasagar, by 70 runs in a knockout match of All-Assam Dilip Sharma inter-club Twenty20 cricket tournament at Jorhat Stadium here today.
Winning the toss, the Trivenee Club skipper elected to bat. The team put up 154 runs on board losing five wickets. In reply, Zangam Club were restricted to 84 for nine. Satyendu Saikia of Trivenee accounted for three dismissals conceding only 10 runs.
Earlier, Parthiv Hazarika topscored for Trivenee with a hurricane 81 off only 48 balls and Utpal Hazaika chipped in with a breezy 33 off 31 balls.
In another match played at the same ground, Radiance Club, Sivasagar defeated Tezpur Cricket Coaching Centre by five wickets.
Tezpur CCC won the toss and batted first to score 109, losing nine wickets. Radiance Club achieved the target with five wickets in hand in 19.4 overs.
In another match at the Jorhat District Sports Association ground, Titabor Public Club defeated Radiant Club of Jorhat by three wickets.
Batting first, Radiant Club put up a total of 109 losing all the wickets in 18.4 overs. In reply, Titabor Public Club achieved the target losing seven wickets in 15.5 overs.
Tomorrow, Tinsukia Railway will play Titabor Public Club and Dibrugarh Cricket Coaching Centre will face Jorhat Cricket Coaching Centre in the Jorhat Stadium.
