Children’s film festival
A children’s film festival, organised by the Children’s Film Society of India, will be inaugurated at Jyotsna Cinema Hall, Paltan Bazar, in Dibrugarh on April 21. A number of children feature films like Gol (Assamese), Ek Ajooba Bhago Bhoot, Running Wind, Chote Miyan Subhanallah, Rhino, Karamoti Coat, Mujshe Dosti Karogi, Chu Lenge, Akash and Kat Kat Kad Kaddu will be screened at various cinema halls in the district till April 26.
Training programme
The National Informatics Centre, Assam unit, will conduct a number of training programmes on information technology for both state and Union government employees from April 28.
Seminars
A two-day national seminar on “Commerce education in the new millennium” will be held at Tezpur University from April 26.
The Assam Science Society will hold a daylong national seminar on linking the major rivers of the country at the Institute of Engineers, Guwahati on April 29. The topic of the seminar is “Linking the major rivers of India: Possibilities and apprehensions”.
