Kho-kho player dies of jaundice

Guwahati: Assam kho-kho player Nirmali Boro passed away on Friday morning. The 18-year-old girl from Khetri near here was suffering from jaundice and malaria. She had represented the state in several nationals.

BSF meet

Hailakandi: Rajesh Kumar and Jagindra Singh finish first and second in the 56-kg category of the fifth BSF inter-sector weightlifting meet in Silchar. The other top two position-holders are Aslam Ahmed and Monjit Kumar (62kg), P. Ashok and Vitery Salvin (69 kg), Tapash Biswas and K.G. Ramaya (77 kg), B.L. Bodke and Rajendra Prasad (85 kg) and K.K. Swami and Sanatan Dey (94 kg).

Yoga feat

Hailakandi: Silchar Yoga Niketan was adjudged best team in the recent national yogasana championship in Jamshedpur. Dhriti Prasad Nath of the institute finished second in the all-event competition.
