Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association on Friday named a 15-member squad for the first three matches of the Cooch Behar Trophy (under-19) Plate Group B meet to be played at Baroda from Wednesday onwards. The squad: Swarupam Purkayastha (capt.), Parvez Aziz, Tazinder Singh, Shiv Shankar Roy, Amit Sinha, Krishanu Mazumdar, Kunwar Manavendra, Noor Alam Sheikh (wk), Amzad Ali (wk), Sujoy Tarafdar, Pritam Das, Bikram Chetry, Chanakya Sarma, Prasanta Sonowal and Sanjeev Dutta. Dhiraj Das (coach) and Parimal Singha (manager).

Football meet

Dibrugarh: Kokrajhar beat Nagaon by a solitary goal to enter the quarterfinals of the Khirod Baruah Trophy senior inter-district football meet at Moran on Friday. Dhananjoy Basumatary scored the all-important goal in the 49th minute. Tinsukia meet Charaideo on Saturday.

Body-building

Guwahati: The All Guwahati Body-Building and Mr Guwahati contests will be held at Physical Point Gym at Tokobari Satra here under the auspices of Guwahati District Body- Building Association on Sunday. The contests will be held in junior, senior and masters categories.
