Prafullo steers Langthabal win

Imphal, March 31: Youth Welfare Club Langthabal rode on Prafullo Mani's 48-run knock to guide his team to a 11-run victory over Champ Khagempalli in the third MCA W. Prahalada and W. Ramananda Elite Tournament 2015-16 at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

Taking the crease, Youth Welfare batsman Mani struck 48 off 45 balls while Bikramjit with 17 runs and Bishwas with 14 piled up 118 runs for 10 wickets in 28.1 overs.

Champ bowlers Sunder Singh and Md. Sultan claimed three wickets each while Ravi Singh fetched two and Kenedy Singh bagged one.

In reply, Champ Khagempalli were bundled out for 107 runs for nine wickets in 30 overs, losing by 11 runs. Rajesh Singh struck 39 runs while Premchand got 13 and Robinson fetched 11.

Youth Welfare Club bowlers Kishan Singh, Priyokumar Singh, Prasanta Singh and Biswas Singh claimed two wickets each. Mani was the Man of the Match.

Loktak Trophy: Anouba Imagi Mangal got the better of Young Physique Union by 2-1 goals in the ninth Loktak Trophy 2016 organised by All Moirang Football Association at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School in Bishnupur. After a goalless first half, N. Bimol Singh and L. Robert Singh struck for Anouba Imagi team while the lone goal for Young Physique team was fetched by Arnold Singh. In tomorrow's match, Tiddim Road Unique Gamy Players Union will take on All Moirang Football Association.

Sepak takraw: The inaugural match between Ibudhou Marjing Social Union Club and Manipur Police Sports Club (B) was put off after it was interupted by rain in the 32nd Men's State-Level Sepak Takraw Championship, 2016, organised by All-Manipur Sepak Takraw at Heingang ground in Imphal East.
