ATPA football

Jorhat, Nov. 10: Oil India 11 drubbed Lajong FC, Shillong, 3-1 to win the ATPA shield football tournament held at the Jorhat stadium here today.

Oil India led by two goals in the first half with Montu Boro scoring in the 13th minute followed by Tridip Hazarika in the 44th minute.

In the second half, Jayanta Basumatary scored for Oil India in the 67th minute.

In the 71st minute, Nigoma B. Singh converted a penalty to score the sole goal for Lajong FC.

Altogether eight teams participated in the tournament.
