Agartala, Feb. 15 (PTI): Police have seized fake currency notes of Rs 500 denomination from a jeep at Telimaura in West Tripura district.

Forces led by sub divisional police officer Sanjoy Roy intercepted the jeep at Netajinagar last night. While conducting a search, policemen seized 77 counterfeit notes hidden in a bag. Two persons were detained in this connection, police said. Police alleged one Hamendra Das of debipura was involved in circulating fake notes in the district.
