Lightning deaths

Dhubri, May 19: Inamul Hoque, 19, and Noor Alom, 45, of Beguntoli village here, died when lightning struck them this morning.

Body found

Dhubri: The body of Ravi Das, 21, of Mekhowa village, was recovered from Manas river in Bongaigaon district on Tuesday.

Govt aid

Guwahati: Assam health and family welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said the government would give Rs 1 lakh to those undergoing kidney transplantation.
