Guwahati, Oct. 12: Teams from Bhutan and Delhi will be among the 12 to be participating in the 4th Dalmia Cements All India Veteran Football Championship to be held at Judges Field here from November 2 to 5.

This is the first time a foreign team will participate in the meet since its inception four years back.

An exhibition match involving Zubeen Garg Football Team, the singer happens to be the brand ambassador of the tournament, shall be held ahead of the finals.

Besides Bhutan XI and the Delhi Veteran Football XI, the other teams in the fray are Nagaland Football Club, Shillong Friends United, Manipur Veteran Football Club, Kokrajhar Football Club, Silchar FC, Duliajan FC, Narengi FC, Maharana Club and the organiser United Brothers Club.

The UBC is a leading sports club successfully running UBC Gurukul - a football academy - in Sonitpur where more than 50 young talented boys and girls from tea gardens are being trained. The UBC also presents the Assam Sports Awards.
