Imphal, April 5: Neroca FC vice-captain Y. Raju is confident of hitting the high note once again as they take on Lonestar Kashmir Football Club in the Second Division I-League, 2015-16, at Khuman Lampak Stadium here tomorrow.
Speaking to reporters at a news conference here, Raju said, "We were under pressure during our first match against Minerva Academy as we had little idea of their playing style. However, the win against Dempo Sports Club was a game-changer for us.
"It was a morale-booster for the team as we got three points. We hope to hit a high note tomorrow as well," he added.
Lonestar Kashmir Football Club chief coach, Hilal Parray, said, "We expect something good for our team against Neroca FC tomorrow. Though we know that they are a good team, we will not give up without a fight."
He added though they had lost their game against Mohammedan Sporting, they had put up an impressive game. Elaborating on Lonestar Kashmir, he said the club was a two-year-old one and the team members are all local.
Asked why they did not hire foreign players, Parray said, "Our aim is to give impetus to developing our own players."
