Imphal, May 10: Mizoram’s Ramengmawai beat Manipur’s T. Bojen Singh 6-3, 6-4 at Officer’s Club, Lamphelpat to enter the men’s singles final of the second North East Tennis Championship, 2013.

Nagaland’s Vilasier Khate defeated Mizoram’s Innocent Lal 6-4, 6-2 in the other semi-final.

In the men’s doubles semi-finals, Ramengmawia and Lalrinawma defeated Brojen Singh and Birchandra Singh 6-2, 6-4 to storm into the finals.

In the other semi-final, Innocent Lal and Zathanglina beat Vilasier Khate and Vikhozolie 6-3, 6-3 to make the doubles final an all-Mizoram affair.

Laxmibanta Singh and A. Matum, Y. Ibotombi and Iboyaima, Th. Tuleshwar and Pradip and H. Ibotombi and Y. Ibotombi — all from Manipur — entered the semi-finals of the veterans’ men’s doubles event.’
