Aizawl, April 5: The Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) of Lunglei has warned the government that if re-construction for the government-run Lunglei Higher Secondary School does not start by May 30, it would take to the streets.

The decision was taken at a southern council meeting of the MZP on Friday.

?We are very disappointed with the government?s failure to respond to our long-standing demand. Now, we have resolved that if the authorities still do not reconstruct the school building, we will take more aggressive means,? said Joseph, president of the Lunglei MZP.

The students have also demanded more teachers for primary schools, more blackboards and typewriters and concession for students in government and private buses.
