Imphal, Nov. 28: N. London Singh was crowned Mr Manipur in the 45th Senior Mr Manipur Contest held at Asha Hall, North AOC, with an award of Rs 50,000.

London Singh had bagged the Junior Mr India title in 2009.

In the junior event, T. Langamba Singh of YBB Gym got the Mr Manipur title while A. Premchand Singh of Super Gym won the title in the master category. In the physically challenged category, I. Ranjit Singh took the below-70kg title while Premkumar Singh got the above-70kg title.

L. Baby Chanu claimed the women’s fitness top spot in the above-160cm while Rebika Devi bagged the below-160cm category.

Young Body-Builder Gym bagged the overall team champion’s title while Thoubal District Body-Building and Fitness Association got the runners-up title.

The Best Coach title was conferred upon I. Bipin Singh of Young Body-Builder Gym Pishumthong.

X Games: Eight climbers, including three from India — Shivalinga, Palaniswami and K.Surjit Singh — qualified for the final round of the X Games International Speed Climbing Competition held at Hafta Kangjeibung.

The competition was held as part of the Sangai Festival.

Altogether 14 climbers participated in the qualifying round.
