Guwahati, July 27: Dynamo Club turned the tables on favourites ASEB Sports Club with a 3-2 victory in a match of the RG Baruah GSA Super Division Football League, 2011 at Nehru Stadium here today.

Dynamo skipper Abraham Goodluck struck first blood with a stunning header off a corner by Lalfakmawia in the 14th minute of the match to set up a thrilling phase of play.

Jolted by the goal, the powermen lifted their game and pumped in the equaliser two minutes later when maverick striker Chayaram Basumatary struck one from the left flank.

However, the Dynamo men struck back with Akhil Baroi giving his team the lead in the 18th minute. The next phase of play till the lemon break was all about good moves and creation of chances minus the finishing with both teams missing out on scoring goals.

In the second half, down 1-2, ASEB began well but were erratic in the danger zone. To make matters worse, Biplob Kundu failed to score in the 47th minute after earning a penalty as Ezekiel Sunday handled the ball. However, in the 68th minute, Chayaram tapped one into the net after a through pass was missed by two strikers, including Kishan Singh, for the equaliser.

Dynamo struck a lethal blow in the 78th minute when a free kick from substitute Lalrdzara was connected effectively by Lalfakmawia for the winning goal. In a match of the Jibeswar Goswami A-Division Football League 2011, Chandmari Sports Club edged past City Police 1-0.
