Guwahati, Feb. 16: Fifteen scenes that describe modern-day women, their careers, friendships, lives and more. That's what Ahh!!! Women, an adaptation of Croatian playwright Miro Gavran's All About Women, is all about.

The 105-minute play, presented by t2 and directed by Sattyakee D'Com Bhuyan, will be staged at Rabindra Bhawan here tomorrow and on Wednesday evening.

'There are no acts, but 15 scenes in the play that alternates and interweaves five life stories. The cast comprises eight women, some of them making their debut. Three actors play five roles ranging in age from five to 90 years,' Bhuyan, the founder director of theatre group, D' Passion Collective, said today.

The play has an all-female cast comprising Jula Baruah, Reeti Dutta, Nayantara Sarma, Urvashi, Rudrakshi Bhuyan, Saquiba Naseeb, Neetali Das and Roshmi Datta.

'The socially-relevant yet entertaining play endeavours to describe the modern-day women's perspective about their careers, friendships, romances and lives,' Bhuyan said.

Anoop Khanna is the producer of the play, Promiti Phukan is the music director and Shyamant Hazarika is the costume designer.

Miro Gavran is the only living playwright in Europe to have a theatre festival dedicated to his work: the Gavranfest. His works have been translated into 35 languages.

'I had met Gavran in the US some years back and discussed with him whether this play could be adapted and brought to audience in Assam. Now that we have the play here, he has requested us to give the audience the right emotion and humour,' Bhuyan said.
