If you’re splurging on stylised, artisanal weaves this season, don’t skip out on Mitan Ghosh’s line-up. The designer has introduced a line of vibrant, handwoven Banarasis in a range of shades, which are as dramatic as they are wearable. Her newest made-to-order number is a 100 per cent handwoven Katan Silk Benarasi, woven in a rare burgundy mulberry thread. The sari is bejewelled with pure khadua zari woven motifs spaced out beautifully over the body and has khadua motifs all over its base, which are reminiscent of the minaars of India.

The pallu is a heavy weave of khadua work which, complements the subtle minimal work throughout the saree and the number comes with a heavy pure brocade blouse piece, which is a statement number as well.
