As the celsius dips and the first hints of the winter chill set in slowly, take inspiration from this Grace Kelly look, which is just the perfect outfit for the season. Kelly, who played the character of Lisa Carol Fremont in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 mystery thriller film Rear Window, sported many classic looks that are emblematic of effortlessly combining style with comfort. The green skirt and white halter top in the scene where she convinces her boyfriend, Jeff (James Stewart) that she can in fact live out of a single suitcase, is one such look.
Recreating this look is very simple. For starters, pick a white halter neck top like this one from Isha Studio. Pair it with a light/olive green A-line skirt. This piece from MANGO is ideal for the combination. Set off the white top by accessorising with a pearl bracelet and donning a pair of white heels or sneakers (both will go equally well with the outfit). Throw on a jacket of a similar shade (check out this one from VEROMODA) and your look is complete!
