Rukmini has the chic-est alternative to the sari

Pre-stitched saris or minimal-effort drapes are trending big since designers are leaning towards saris that are easier to wear. But Rukmini Maitra went one step further when she styled an immaculate sequin number by Namrata Joshipura which is a cocktail dress and sari rolled into one.
The blingy sand-hued gown has a terrific fit which highlights her gait, and it also has a stylised drape over one shoulder which gives the dress an illusion of a sari. Rukmini paired it with slicked-back hair, some metallic heels and bold earrings by Outhouse.
